Warbird Plane Rides at the South Haven Area Regional Airport

Warbird Plane Rides at the South Haven Area Regional AirportIn addition to flight training, Michigan Warbirds offers rides in the BT-13 and P-51. Anyone can take a ride in the BT-13 or P51. You don’t have to be a pilot to experience the thrill of flying in a vintage WW11 aircraft. Every ride is tailored around your desires. The rides in the BT-13 are typically 30 min to 60 min and the rides in the Mustang or 20 min or 30 minutes. Some guest just want a short hop around the field so they can feel the vibrations and hear the rumble of a radial engine or hear the roar of the mighty merlin. Other guest want to climb up into the wild blue and feel the g force of aerobatic maneuvers like loops and rolls and see the earth through the top of the canopy. Then there are some who want to relax and during a low level flight across the beautiful Michigan countryside. The BT-13 has a full set of dual controls so you can pilot the aircraft under the supervision of your instructor. The Mustang does not have a second set of controls but you will see and feel everything the Mustang has to offer while your instructor puts it through its paces. You can take video or as many picture as you like before, during and after the flight.

We want to provide the ride of your dreams, one that you will remember. You are free to take as many pictures of your event as you would like. Each flight begins with a briefing that covers all the necessary safety items as well as the planned profile. Once the aircraft is in the air, your instructor will allow you to get some stick time if you wish so that you can experience what it feels like to pilot the aircraft. After the flight is complete, you will have the opportunity to take more pictures to capture your experience.
